ASSOCIATE ATTORNEY
Trent Turk

Trent Turk is deeply committed to ensuring access to justice for all individuals, particularly those whose rights have been infringed or who have been unjustly harmed. With a focus on protecting civil liberties and holding institutions accountable, Trent advocates for clients in areas such as personal injury, premises liability, civil rights, police and prison misconduct, and innocence litigation.
Trent attended Wake Forest University School of Law and graduated with honors. While in law school, Trent served on the editorial staff of the Wake Forest Law Review and competed in competitions as a member of the trial team and transactional law competition. Trent excelled in both, earning an award for best negotiation in the transactional law competition and leading his trial team to a regional championship in the AAJ STAC competition. Trent also interned on the North Carolina Court of Appels for the Honorable Judges Toby Hampson and John Arrowood. Trent was admitted to the North Carolina bar in 2024 and has devoted his career to fighting for the rights of the People.
Personal Life
Beyond the law, Trent’s other passion is cooking. His current project is trying to create the perfect mac and cheese. He is also a lifelong Carolina Panthers, Carolina Hurricanes, and Charlotte Hornets fan. (Ask him about the time he attended the sixth longest game in NHL history and still came to work on time the next day!) Trent also enjoys spending time with his lovely wife, Melissa, and their two cats Cooper and Jynx. Trent joined Ballew Puryear as an associate attorney in 2024.
