George Podgorny, Jr.

George Podgorny has been representing catastrophically injured clients since 1991. His cases have included medical malpractice, pharmacy malpractice, motor vehicle accidents, inadequate security, and unfair trade practices. Over his career, George has helped clients recover millions of dollars in compensation, including $3.25 million settlements for both the family of a Special Forces officer and the family of a young child who tragically died due to medication errors.
Before joining Ballew Puryear PLLC, George founded his own firm, Podgorny Law. Earlier in his career, he served as a partner at Faison & Gillespie, a Durham firm specializing in catastrophic injury cases. George has also handled numerous workplace injury cases involving negligent factory owners, unsafe construction sites, and industrial accidents, often achieving life-changing results for his clients.
Among his proudest accomplishments is his advocacy for a young child injured in a neonatal intensive care unit due to inadequate monitoring. His efforts ensured the child’s future medical and educational needs would be met. Throughout his career, George has been a steadfast advocate for justice and a trusted ally for those navigating life-altering injuries.

George enjoys spending time with his family and supporting his local community. When not working on behalf of his clients, he pursues outdoor activities and values opportunities to give back.
